My thesis explored how UX design principles can improve therapeutic virtual reality experiences for patients in hospital settings. Focusing on NaturalVR — a relaxation and well-being application — I analysed user needs, conducted usability research, and identified design opportunities to enhance engagement and comfort. The outcome was a set of practical UX guidelines to support future development of therapeutic VR solutions.

This project evaluated a digital educational resource on environmental sustainability used in Portuguese middle schools. I designed two interface variations to determine which one improved learning effectiveness and student engagement.
Through in-depth UX research, A/B testing and classroom observation, the project validated pedagogical impact and identified design improvements to optimize usability and learning outcomes.

This project focused on creating a digital educational resource inspired by the life of Fibonacci and the concept of the Golden Ratio. Developed for a national competition promoted by the Portuguese Ministry of Education (DGE), the project was selected as the winning entry and is now planned for implementation in schools across Portugal.

The goal was to translate complex mathematical concepts into intuitive, engaging digital experiences — combining storytelling, gamification, and visual narrative to make learning more meaningful and motivating for middle-school students.

ActivePorto is a conceptual mobile app designed to recommend the best outdoor spaces in the Porto Metropolitan Area for physical activity. The project explored how GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data could enhance personalized fitness recommendations. Developed in Figma, the prototype focuses on creating a motivating and user-centered experience that encourages healthier routines through intelligent location-based insights.
